THE FIVE LIFE LESSONS I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR

Some common-sense tips that took me years to learn

1 Time will always continue to move forward

I know this sounds like a no-brainer, but most of us keep thinking we always have more time. The next thing you know it's been twenty years and you have no idea where the time went to. I have fallen into the trap of always thinking we have more time, and especially right now I m shocked how fast time actually moves. Time does not pause as much as we think it does.

2 Do not be a spectator in your own life

As previously mentioned time continues to move forward no matter what you do. We all have a tendency to look at people's lives always wishing we had that career, wishing we had that much money or a number of other things. The truth is when you focus on what others are doing in their lives we tend to forget to make progress own.

3 Keep it moving

Failure is not an excuse to quit. Every person that has become successful has failed. Failure is just a natural part of life. You're not going to be able to accomplish everything in the first shot. With the law of averages, you are bound to fail at some point in time. When it happens, and it will view it as a learning process. After you “fail”, you are now more aware of what will not work so that you are closer to what will work.

4 The 1% could be me

So many people think that success is only limited to one percent. This use to be my mindset that I had to overcome. The only difference between me and the one percent of people that are wealthy and successful is that they did not give up. Life is going to be hard no matter what, but they choose the hard that will lead to great success.

5 Keep Educating Yourself

I m not saying you have to have formal schooling all your life. What I am saying though is that you should constantly be learning new skills. You should take the time to constantly be developing yourself into something better. When you stop taking the time to gather new information, your life is at a standstill.

When it comes to the time toward the end of my life, I want it to be said that I never gave up. I want my life to end up being an inspiration to others that if I can do it you can too. This is my journey now. This is my journey to a better life.
